Deloitte and the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) would like to invite you to attend our first Greater Washington Area LGBT Employee Resource Group (ERG) Leadership Workshop on April 22, 2016 at the HRC national headquarters in downtown Washington, DC.
Diversity and inclusion have become increasingly important topics in the workplace. Yet, for all of the efforts to make workplaces more diverse, individuals still feel the need to hide their authentic selves. This concept is called Covering, and it is having a huge effect on employee productivity and retention. One tool available to encourage employees to be their authentic selves are ERGs. The concept of ERGs is not new, but the guides on how to build and grow effective ERGs are only now being written.
Please join us on April 22nd for a morning session with the leaders of corporate inclusion from Deloitte, the HRC, and many of your fellow public and private sector leaders in inclusion. Together we will discuss the latest research on LGBT communities within the workforce, the role of LGBT ERGs, and hold a panel discussion to discuss their views on how LGBTQ professionals and resource groups can promote greater inclusion and individual authenticity in the work environment.
There will also be a workshop to gain strategies to build and grow both new and mature LGBT ERGs.
Space is limited so please register today!
