Michael Chanak Jr.
David C. Crowley Leadership Award
Michael Chanak, Jr is a lifelong activist and leader in the LBGTQ community. Among his many achievements, Michael pioneered the effort at P & G to include sexual orientation into the Company's Diversity Statement in 1992. As one of the first companies to do this, Michael set an example which companies around the world soon followed and changed the workplace for LGBTQ employees forever. Last year, his inspiring story was documented in the Award Winning Film “The Words Matter” we are thrilled to have Michael with here today.
US Bank’s LGBT resource group, Spectrum, has been working to foster an inclusive and positive work culture for LGBTQ employees at their organization. HRC has a longstanding relationship with US Bank locally and US Bank is an HRC National Corporate Partner.
BECOME A TABLE CAPTAIN
Table Captains are the heart of the gala's attendance. Each Table Captain strives to fill a table of 10, creating their own guest list and spending an inspirational evening surrounded with colleagues, friends and family. If you'd like to select the nine people who will sit at your table, become a Table Captain today. We honor all Table Captains by listing them in gala advertisements, invitations and program books. If you are interested in becoming a Table Captain for the HRC Cincinnati Gala, please contact Karen Aerts (email@example.com), Peter Laffoon (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Kathy Nardiello (Knardiello@hotmail.com).
BECOME A CORPORATE SPONSOR
Research shows that the LGBT community supports brands that support them. Don’t miss the chance to enjoy an exceptional evening with your colleagues. Sponsorship includes tickets, visibility and marketing opportunities to showcase your company’s commitment to equality. Please send Sponsorship inquires to Karen Morgan email@example.com.
DONATE TO THE SILENT AUCTION
One of the most exciting parts of the evening is a Silent Auction, where attendees bid against one another for donated items, gift certificates, vacation packages and more. Donating to the Silent Auction is another great way to show your support for the LGBT community and HRC. If you are interested in donating to the HRC CincinnatiSilent Auction, please contact Kevin Boyle at firstname.lastname@example.org.
PURCHASE A PROGRAM BOOK AD OR RECOGNITION PAGE
A great opportunity for a small business to support the event is to purchase space in the keepsake program book at the event for attendees. If you are interested in purchasing an ad or a recognition page in the HRC Cincinnati Gala Program Book, please contact Rick Chizmadia (email@example.com).
