The Speed Diner features five dishes created by 10 chefs and served to ticket holders who purchase 15-minute time slots at two, diner-style, eight-person counters designed by Amaryllis Floral + Event Design.

HRC Foundation’s sixth annual Chefs for Equality event is just around the corner -- don’t miss your chance to dine with 150 of the capital region’s top chefs, pastry chefs and mixologists on September 19 at Dock5 at Union Market.

For the first time, the annual event -- which is brought together by the HRC Foundation and prominent food writer David Hagedorn -- will introduce an exciting new element called the “5/10/15 Speed Diner” situated in front of Union Market’s Dock5 entrance. The Speed Diner features five dishes created by 10 chefs and served to ticket holders who purchase 15-minute time slots at two, diner-style, eight-person counters designed by Amaryllis Floral + Event Design.

Curated by renowned chef Erik Bruner-Yang (Maketto, Paper Horse, and two restaurants opening in The Line Hotel in Adams Morgan this fall -- Brothers and Sisters and Spoken English), the 5/10/15 Speed Diner will include the following pairs of celebrity chefs:

  • Cathal Armstrong (Kaliwa) and Tim Ma (Kyirisan)
  • Kyle Bailey (The Salt Line) and Haidar Karoum (Chloë)
  • Scott Drewno (ChiKo) and Danny Lee (ChiKo)
  • Seng Luangrath (Padaek) and Bobby Pradachith (Thip Khao)
  • Russell Smith (The Source) and Matt Baker (Gravitas)

The “5/10/15 Speed Diner” is a separate ticket option for Chefs for Equality ticket holders, available as a $50 per-person add-on. Seatings are at 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, and 7:30pm. Purchase your time slots now at hrc.im/ChefsTickets and join us on September 19th at Dock5 at Union Market for an evening of impressive fare, live and silent auctions, music and more.
