HRC announced its endorsement of Senator Amy Klobuchar (DFL-MN) for U.S. Senate in Minnesota.

“Throughout her career, Amy Klobuchar has been a leading advocate for equality in the U.S. Senate,” said HRC President Chad Griffin. “Senator Klobuchar is fighting tirelessly on behalf of the LGBTQ community, Minnesota, and the American people. HRC is proud to endorse her for re-election, and we look forward to continuing to work with her to achieve full federal equality.”

"From marriage to employment to health care, equality touches every part of our lives and I will continue the fight for equal treatment for all Americans, including the LGBTQ community" said Senator Klobuchar. "I am grateful to HRC for their support and for all the progress that we have made and will make as a nation in the years ahead."

A leader for LGBTQ equality in the U.S. Senate, Senator Klobuchar is an original cosponsor of the Equality Act, crucial federal legislation that would finally guarantee explicit, permanent protections for LGBTQ people under our nation's existing civil rights laws. She also recently spoke out against the Trump-Pence discriminatory ban on transgender troops.

Paid for by Human Rights Campaign PAC and authorized by Klobuchar for Minnesota.
