Saturday was our first day of Get Out the Vote canvassing here in Cleveland, and our volunteers and staff are fired up and working hard to reelect President Barack Obama and Sen. Sherrod Brown.

Chilly temperatures didn't stop our canvassers from showing up in full force, including all-star travelers from as far out as Baton Rouge, San Francisco, D.C., and New York. It's been inspiring to see equality supporters from across the country team up with an energized and organized force of Cuyahoga County natives to make sure equality wins here tomorrow.

From our training staff to data pluggers, our greeters to line managers, everyone is coming together here on Waterloo Road (and in similar offices across the country) to make sure nothing stops our voters from making it to the polls. Friendships form fast here in our busy office, and Fran and the lovely ladies on the hospitality team make sure we're always comfortable and well fed.

It's been great meeting our highly engaged HRC members throughout my week here in Cleveland, including phone bankers, out-of-state canvassers, and board members past and present. On top of the weekly phone banks that our dedicated Cleveland members have been holding in Shaker Square, HRC also co-sponsored an LGBT for Obama phone bank on Monday with Cleveland's Stonewall Democrats. Out State Rep. Nickie Antonio helped make calls, and former HRC President Joe Solmonese called in for a pre-event pep talk.

We'll keep Getting Out the Vote and doing everything we can to reelect President Obama and Sherrod Brown through Tuesday night. A huge thanks to all of you who are helping out here in Ohio and your own communities; it's volunteer energy that drives this machine to the finish!
