Jan Jones Supports Employment Non-Discrimination Act

Jan Jones, the former two-term Las Vegas mayor and a current Executive Vice President at Caesars, spoke out in support of ENDA in an op-ed with the Las Vegas Sun this weekend.

Jones wrote:

As mayor, I worked hard to improve our city by building diverse coalitions that successfully affected real change. That’s why I’m so excited by the hugely diverse, bipartisan group that has come together to pass ENDA — it’s a recipe for success. As a business leader and former mayor, I’m proud to stand with the myriad Las Vegans from all walks of life who support the basic opportunity to work for every American. ENDA is a big win for both business and for hard-working Nevada families.

Caesars is a long-standing member of HRC’s Business Coalition for Workplace Fairness, which is comprised of more than 100 Fortune 500s and large companies who support ENDA. In addition to the Business Coalition, nearly 90 percent of Fortune 500s have sexual orientation non-discrimination policies on the books – while nearly 60 percent have similar policies for gender identity.

HRC is proud to be a member of the Americans for Workplace Opportunity campaign – a bipartisan campaign to pass ENDA. You can take action and learn more at www.passENDAnow
