SURVEY RESULTS SHOW THAT BLACK LGB PEOPLE OFTEN FEEL HARASSED OR THREATENED: The data comes from the Black Future Lab’s Black Census survey. Alicia Garza (@aliciagarza), co-creator of Black Lives Matter and founder of the Lab, said, “Too often, Black LGB+ people are perceived as distinct and separate from the larger Black community and defined more by their sexual orientation than their race.
