PROMISES ACTION ON NON-DISCRIMINATION PROTECTIONS: Next month, Kansas will swear in Democrat Sharice Davids, the nation’s first openly gay Native American in Congress and the state’s first openly LGBTQ person representing Kansas in Congress, and Democratic state Reps. Susan Ruiz and Brandon Woodard, its first two openly LGBTQ state lawmakers.
