Lucas Acosta

Lucas Acosta is the national press secretary for campaigns at the Human Rights Campaign. Lucas previously served as the director of broadcast media for the Democratic National Committee, where he was one of the first hires under Chairman Tom Perez. Prior to joining the DNC, Lucas worked at the Brooklyn headquarters of Hillary for America as national radio broadcast manager, developing and executing the campaign’s national and state-based radio strategy.

Acosta cut his teeth in New York politics, working on a variety of campaigns and government roles at the state and local levels, including Quinn for Mayor and the New York City Council. He is a New York City native and a graduate of Middlebury College in Vermont.
