Would have updated existing anti-discrimination laws to add gender identity or expression as protected categories.
Would have required employers in the state that are subjected to the FMLA to provide the same leave that an eligible employee would receive under the FMLA with regard to a domestic partner or the child of a domestic partner.
Proposed an amendment to the state constitution, requiring approval of 3/5 of legislators in each chamber, and then to be approved by voters, that would provide: “Marriage between one man and one woman shall be the only domestic legal union valid or recognized in this state.”
