Human Rights Campaign fights for LGBT equality in Mississippi alongside state and local groups and lawmakers.

In an unprecedented effort to bring equality to Mississippi, HRC has just announced Project One America, a comprehensive campaign to dramatically expand LGBT equality in the South through permanent campaigns in Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas.

Project One America is the very first campaign of its kind to work exclusively on LGBT equality in Mississippi—where there are no non-discrimination protections for LGBT people at the state or local level in employment, housing or public accommodations, and where the state’s constitution expressly prohibits marriage equality.

As we head into summer, a time when many people gather and relax with friends and family, we invite you to join us in a Summer of Conversations.

It’s simple: host a gathering, formal or informal; invite your friends, colleagues, neighbors and loved ones; and begin the conversations we need to have in order to move equality forward. All that we ask is that you get the conversation started! Click here to learn more.
