Marriage Equality Polling
A nationwide poll in summer 2010 showed for the first time that a majority of Americans support marriage equality. Since then, many other polls have found similar results and continue to show how issues of LGBT equality are increasingly in the mainstream, and can no longer be used as divisive wedges.
We are also seeing encouraging numbers from groups and communities where support has typically lagged. While the polls clearly show that Americans believe in fairness, we must be vigilant in our efforts to achieve marriage equality in every state.
