HRC Statement on Beth Robinson’s Appointment to Vermont Supreme Court

Washington – The Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization, today applauded Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin’s appointment of Beth Robinson to the Vermont Supreme Court.  Robinson was co-counsel in the case that brought civil unions to Vermont.  HRC President Joe Solmonese issued the following statement:

“Beth Robinson has been a pioneer for justice and equality under the law and the people of Vermont will be well served with her insightful legal mind on the state’s highest court.  She has shown through her decades of legal work a commitment to the law and to all Vermonters.”
