UPDATE: Outrigger Enterprises Group Speaks Out Against Veto Letter to Governor

Outrigger becomes the 25th general member and fifth executive committee member to issue statement contrary to original call for veto

Honolulu - Today, a coalition of leading lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender organizations in Hawaii announced that half of all members of the Hawaii Business Roundtable's executive committee now refute the original call for veto of HB 444, Hawaii's civil unions bill. In a letter to several coalition members, the company states that "Outrigger Enterprises Group has not taken an official position on civil unions. Rest assured, however, our company strongly supports diversity and opposes discrimination in any form."

Coalition members include Equality Hawaii, the GLBT Caucus of the Democratic Party of Hawaii, the Human Rights Campaign, PFLAG-Oahu and Pride Alliance Hawaii.

Outrigger Enterprises Group joins a long list of other HBR members speaking out against discrimination.
