Partners Program Internship

This is not your typical internship.  The Partners intern will be a true member of the Partners team, working directly with staff and making sure committed donors have a strong and lasting relationship with HRC.  Join the fastest growing program at the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) while learning how non-profit fundraising works and gaining real world experience!

HRC’s Partners program is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and stewarding donors who give sustained monthly donations of $10 - $99 to HRC. The Partners program currently has more than 40,000 active members who are committed to the cause of LGBT equality, making this group of strategic givers responsible for more than 20% of HRC’s annual budget.

The Partners intern will receive hands-on experience in the fast-paced fundraising world.  From day one, she or he will have crucial responsibilities such as member correspondence, creative projects and guaranteeing the integrity of HRC’s growing membership database.  The intern will also be able to learn more about other parts of the organization through volunteer opportunities and group activities. Please note: our intern will not be responsible for soliciting money from donors.  As the Partners intern, your correspondence will be with existing members; you will never ask anyone for money.

As the intern grows into her/his position and shows the ability to succeed, we will add additional projects that will help the program reach new levels.  The Partners intern will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and build a true professional presence by:
