After spending time at other projects run by NOM co-founder Robert George (the American Principles Project, most notably), Catholic blogger Thomas Peters became a prominent voice for NOM. In 2011, he began blogging for NOM full time, and by 2013, had become one of the organization's most visible and vocal actors.
A promoter of the Catholic view that gay people should be celibate, Peters has advocated for what was described as "a 12 step program" for homosexuality.
Peters has declared that gay-straight alliances, which encourage LGBT acceptance in public schools, "promote behaviors that hurt the human person."
Peters demands that what he calls "the homosexual agenda" cannot "coexist peacefully" with biblical Christianity.
He has referred to marriage equality supporters as "the forces of evil"
