Campaigns & Elections
With every election, fair-minded voters have an opportunity to advance gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender rights by supporting candidates who support equality.
The Human Rights Campaign’s political action committee has endorsed fair-minded candidates in every election cycle since 1980. HRC works with these candidates, encouraging them to speak up about GLBT equality on the campaign trail to raise awareness about the issues and help voters learn where the candidates stand on the issues that matter to them. HRC also supports state and local ballot measures that advance fairness for GLBT people and takes action to counter ballot measures that infringe on equal rights.
Each and every HRC member and supporter can make a difference in each and every election, by volunteering in their communities, educating their friends and family about the importance of GLBT equality, contributing to HRC’s endorsed candidates and – most importantly – voting.
