Virginia Donor Insemination Law

Virginia law does not clearly address the use of donor insemination by unmarried women or the legal status of a donor with regard to a child conceived using the procedure.

The law appears to acknowledge the use of semen donors in assisted reproduction, but does not explicitly discuss their legal obligations with regard to the resulting children.
