No provision of Indiana state law explicitly addresses gender identity-based violence or other similar issues under the safe schools law. However, Indiana has a general safe school provision to "ensure a safe, orderly and effective education environment" for students. BURN IND. CODE ANN. § 20-8.1-5.1-18 (2001).
