Discrimination in the WorkplaceSince the 1970s, there have been efforts to pass federal legislation that would make discrimination in the workplace against gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Americans illegal. In recent years, those efforts have intensified and gained broader support. When and if proposed legislation becomes law, it will be up to the federal courts to enforce and apply the law. We need independent judges who will enforce legal protections for GLBT Americans once they become law.
