oting is essential. Every federal judge nominated by the president must be confirmed by the U.S. Senate. Your senators will decide whether we have judges who enforce constitutional rights equally for all Americans.

If you’ve read some — or all — of the material about independent judges and why they are so crucial to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender rights, you are likely to ask the very reasonable question, “What can I do about this?” Good question! Here are some ideas, and further discussion of why it all matters.
