Ask for Donations to cover your expenses
- Take every opportunity you have to talk about this event. The more you talk about it the easier it will be to raise money.
- Write an article for your congregation’s bulletin explaining the reasons for your trip and ask for assistance.
- Let your local lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender organization know about what you are doing and ask for their support.
- Ask members of your community to donate frequent flyer miles or arrange your hotel stay.
- Ask people you know if they have friends who would host you while you are in Washington, D.C.
- Share the ways you are raising money to attend Clergy Call 2009.
