Connecticut state law addresses discrimination based on sex. There is no explicit reference to gender identity-based violence or other similar issues under the safe schools law.

Protects gay and lesbian students? Yes
Connecticut state law explicitly addresses sexual orientation discrimination in public schools in relation to the student's participation in activities, programs and course of study. Conn. Gen. Stat § 10-15(c) (2001).
