Details: Florida law explicitly states that "homosexuals" are not eligible to adopt. FLA. STAT. § 63.042(3). The law was found unconstitutional in November 2008 by Miami-Dade Circuit Judge. That decision has been appealed to the Florida Supreme Court. Pending a final resolution; however, the adoption ban remains in effect.
