Domestic Partnerships

Same-sex couples living in Colorado, the District of Columbia, Nevada and Oregon can take advantage of broad domestic partner laws that, like civil unions, offer access to the state-level rights and responsibilities of marriage.  In addition, Wisconsin (domestic partnerships) offers limited statewide spousal rights to same-sex couples within the state. Wherever you live, browse our Maps of State Laws and Policies for the most up-to-date information on marriage equality and other relationship recognition laws across the country.
