LGBT Anti-Violence Programs

Following is a list of participating programs within the National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs, a group of organizations that document hate crimes based on sexual orientation, gender identity and/or HIV status. They also provide victim assistance and work to end such crimes in their communities.

Although the coalition was officially created in 1995, many of its members have worked together for nearly a decade to strengthen the national anti-violence movement and to report and document hate crimes against GLBT and HIV-positive people. Part of the coalition's mission is to educate the public about the extent and brutality of this kind of violence.

To become active in fighting such hate crimes in your community, or to report such a crime, please contact the anti-violence program in your area.

Programs with domestic violence programs are denoted with an *.
