A Million Moms for Civil Marriage

When my daughter came out to me, I remember telling her that being able to share love with someone was the most important thing in a relationship – no matter with whom the relationship was shared.

My Coming Out Made My Sister Feel “Normal”

As a mother, I am furious

A Sister’s Journey

When I told my sister I was a lesbian, I was 14 years old and she was 10. She was outwardly supportive. That is, at least she did not hate me. Over time, I came to know that she was seriously confused.

I want to follow in my father's footsteps

When the province of Ontario, Canada, rather suddenly started allowing same-sex marriage in 2003, I came out to my parents. While speaking with my father, we touched upon gay marriage, and I told him that I felt my being able to marry would not in some way jeopardize the institution of marriage, but help to solidify it.
