Summary: These resolutions propose a constitutional amendment restricting marriage to one man and one woman.

Status: HCR 2065 passed the House Judiciary Committee by a 6-3 vote on February 13, 2008. It passed the House Rules Committee by a 9-0 vote the same day. On April 3, 2008, the House voted 28-27 to add the Sinema amendment proposing that the measure also make specified domestic partner benefits available to unmarried adults. However, the House is expected to take the bill up again on April 21, without the Sinema amendment. SCR 1038 passed out of Senate committee on February 12, 2008.
