Summary: This bill prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity in housing, public accommodations, credit transactions, juror service, and other areas. (note: in 2007, Colorado enacted a law prohibiting employment discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity).

Status: The bill was introduced March 6, 2008. It initially passed the Senate on April 21, 2008, passed the House on May 1, 2008 with amendments and re-passed the Senate May 5, 2008. Gov. Ritter signed the bill into law on May 29, 2008.
