The Human Rights Campaign represents a force of more than 1.5 million members and supporters nationwide. As the largest national lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer civil rights organization, HRC envisions a world where LGBTQ people are ensured of their basic equal rights, and can be open, honest and safe at home, at work and in the community.

Eva Kendrick

State Manager, HRC Alabama

Eva Kendrick serves as the Human Rights Campaign's Alabama State Manager. Eva joined the HRC staff as Alabama Faith Organizer in 2014. In her current role, Eva leads the state staff in their work to achieve full legal equality for LGBTQ Alabamians, while changing institutions - and hearts and minds - through engagement with corporate and healthcare partners, faith outreach, and community development.

Eva holds an MA in Southern Studies from the Center for the Study of Southern Culture at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS and a BA in Southern Studies from Mercer University in Macon, GA. Her research interests include twentieth-century social history, religious history, and social movements. Eva lives in Birmingham, AL with her wife, Kathryn Kendrick.
