The Human Rights Campaign represents a force of more than 1.5 million members and supporters nationwide. As the largest national lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer civil rights organization, HRC envisions a world where LGBTQ people are ensured of their basic equal rights, and can be open, honest and safe at home, at work and in the community.

Deputy Press Secretary

Allison Turner is the Deputy Press Secretary for the Human Rights Campaign, where she writes HRC's daily tipsheet, #AM_Equality; and hosts HRC's video news program, Daily Equality.

Her portfolio also includes the Corporate Equality Index; State Equality Index; Municipal Equality Index; Healthcare Equality Index; the Children, Youth & Families program; and Time to THRIVE. Allison joined HRC in November 2015, and previously worked for the Victory Fund in Washington, D.C. and Campus Pride in Charlotte, N.C.

She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication and Women's and Gender Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Follow her on Twitter at @amturner1993.
