¡Ya Es Hora!
Please join the Human Rights Campaign as we continue to partner with Mi Familia Vota (My Family Votes) in a historic campaign to build strategic alliances with the Latino/a community!
You also have an opportunity to personally contribute as a voluneer. Ya Es Hora (It Is Time) is a citizenship effort sponsored by Mi Familia Vota in partnership with HRC.
As a volunteer, you will receive a 2-hour training session enabling you to assist Legal Permanent Residents in completing their N-400 application to become US citizens. Following the training session, register to attend one of the Citizenship Workshops noted below.
You can sign up for a half day or a full day shift. During the workshop, you will meet with applicants and collect from them information needed to complete their citizenship application. Each application takes about 30 minutes to complete, depending upon circumstances. With the application complete, you will explain the next steps to the applicant as you help these individuals fulfill their dream of becoming US citizens. Once trained, you can register to volunteer for any Citizenship Workshop.
Do you need to speak Spanish? No, you are not required to speak or understand Spanish, as translators will be available. However, if you speak Spanish or are fluent in Spanish, it certainly helps.
