Just in time for Mother's Day, Katie Brodoff reflects on the legacy of her two moms, Ellen Wade and Maureen Brodoff, in a new article for the Boston Globe. Wade and Brodoff were two of the plaintiffs in Goodridge v. Dept. of Public Health, which found that same-sex couples had the right to marry in Massachusetts.

Almost nine years after the state began issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples on May 17, 2004, Katie writes that her parents are still her role models and talks about how momentous it is to see marriage equality within reach for millions more American families today.
