In just a few short hours, the Hawaii State Senate is set to begin debate on SB1, the Marriage Equality Bill. On Monday, over 1800 people testified in support and opposition of the bill. Yesterday, the bill passed a second reading by the senate. Third reading and final passage is the last major hurdle for the bill in the Senate before it is considered by the House on Thursday.
