Last month, HRC Foundation released a new video about All Children – All Families (ACAF), an HRC Foundation project that promotes LGBT cultural competency among child welfare agencies.

The project works with foster and adoption agencies – both public and private -- across the country to improve services for LGBTQ youth and families. ACAF staff and consultants provide training and guidance to agencies as they implement essential best practices for working with LGBTQ youth and adults. Once all those best practices are in place, agencies are designated “Leaders in Supporting and Serving LGBT Youth and Families."

Check out a map of current ACAF participants here. Don't see an agency that you think should be a participant? Tell us about that agency.

Throughout the month of May, the HRC Foundation in collaboration with FosterClub, is celebrating National Foster Care Month by sharing the stories of LGBTQ youth in foster care as well as the families and professionals who support them. Check out all National Foster Care Month blog posts hereand join us in sharing your stories and raising awareness about the needs of LGBTQ foster youth by using the hashtag #FosterEquality.
