Australian synth-rock duo, the Presets, kicked off their Spring North American tour to a packed house this past Saturday night at Washington DC’s iconic 9:30 Club. By sporting Human Rights Campaign buttons in our nation’s Capitol, the straight allies sent a bold message of solidarity to the LGBT community in support of marriage equality.
Known for their vocal support for equal rights, their new single ‘Fall’ was inspired by a lesbian woman whose mother would not accept her homosexuality.
"Sometimes we find love in places we don't expect, and if we are lucky enough for that to happen to us in our lifetime, then I believe it should be embraced and celebrated - even if other people around us find it hard to accept," says singer Julian Hamilton.
The Presets join a growing list of musicians standing with the Human Rights Campaign on the right side of history.
