Marking the anniversary of the death of Ben Cohen’s father, Peter, who lost his life protecting the life of one of his employees, November 14th is a day to StandUp and honor anti-bullying work both in the United States and abroad.
A champion on and off the rugby pitch, Ben Cohen MBE is the first straight professional athlete to dedicate his philanthropic efforts for the benefit of the LGBT community.
Last year on National Coming Out Day, HRC and the Ben Cohen Stand Up Foundation released a limited-edition “Stand Up For Equality” T-shirt to support the work of the Ben Cohen StandUp Foundation and their efforts to end bullying and tackle homophobia in sports.
Ben and the StandUp Foundation helps raises awareness and funds for organizations in both the US and the UK that are doing the real-world work to combat bullying and homophobia in sports. When you wear the StandUp brand, you help others stand up.
How are you standing up for equality today? Let us know in the comments below!
