Scott Lively Isn’t Impressed by HRC’s Export of Hate Report
- September 18, 2014
Pastor of Hate Scott Lively broke his silence yesterday after being featured in HRC’s Export of Hate report.
Lively has dedicated his life to the spreading of anti-LGBT hate and bigotry. He is notorious for traveling around the world, advocating for harsh and bloody punishments for LGBT people. He has presented himself as an expert on LGBT issues, urging lawmakers to crack down on LGBT rights and the right of free expression.
There is nothing but shame and hatred in this work. And sadly, Lively is just one part of a network of extremists working tirelessly to spread LGBT hatred worldwide.
Lively writes: “Not every ‘gay’ activist is physically violent, thankfully. Most limit their ‘human rights advocacy’ to harassment, intimidation and slander.”
Lively, ironically enough, is just like the “gay activist” he writes about. In fact, he takes personal credit for the passage of the Russian anti-gay “propaganda” law, which he claimed to propose in 2007. That law alone has puts thousands of LGBT Russian citizens in harms way, who now face discrimination, jail or death. He also successfully advocated for a law in Uganda that sends LGBT people to prison for life.
Scott Lively may not be impressed by HRC’s work and new report, but LGBT rights activists, supporters and allies aren’t impressed by his either.
