Greater Cincinnati HRC Members Support HRC-Endorsed Steve Driehaus for Congress

HRC members and friends in Cincinnati know how important it is to re-elect Steve Driehaus. Elected in 2008, Driehaus beat a Republican incumbent who had a zero percent rating on HRC’s Congressional Scorecard. As Steve Newsom, Political-Co Chair of HRC’s Greater Cincinnati Steering Committee, put it in his introduction of Driehaus at the fundraiser: "Steve Driehaus is one of the best allies the LGBT community has known in Congress."

With only eighteen days until the New York State Senate general election, the stamina surrounding Tim Kennedy’s candidacy in the 58th district is increasing. The energy continues to grow. New and old faces show up daily to help phone bank and canvass the doors of fellow western New Yorkers, deliver literature and yard signs and assist in the numerous other facets of Kennedy’s campaign. There is a strong HRC presence that helps steer the campaign’s progress, making everyone on board feel like a family.

Extreme. The best word to describe Sharron Angle, Senator Reid’s opponent in the race for Senate here in Nevada. She was voted the worst legislator as a state assemblywoman and changed her voter registration three times in the 90’s. In the state assembly, most of her bills and votes were hers alone.
