Post submitted by Jane Slusser, Americans for Workplace Opportunity'sPennsylvania state lead
While some supporters were down in Washington, D.C last week for ENDA’s National Lobbying Day of Action, the real fun was happening back here in Pennsylvania, where volunteers came out to speak with friends, neighbors, and fellow supporters about the importance of passing ENDA in the U.S. Senate.
Dozens of volunteers came out in Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, Philadelphia, Bethlehem, Wilkes-Barre, and on campuses across the state. Wherever they were, volunteers were focused on getting others to voice their support for ENDA, whether that was a phone call to Senator Toomey’s office, a letter, or simply signing a postcard. As a result, hundreds of new Pennsylvanians were able to add their names to the long list of supporters from a broad range of backgrounds across the state, who are united in their desire for workplace opportunity.
Wish you hadn’t missed out on all the action? You’re in luck! Join us for our next big Day of Action on Saturday, October 12th. Sign up to volunteer now.
