Colorado FlagThe Colorado Civil Union Act became law last month, and starting May 1, 2013 Colorado’s committed same-sex couples will be able to access critical legal protections and responsibilities.  The Act passed with bipartisan support in both houses of the Colorado General Assembly and was signed into law by Governor Hickenlooper.

As we’ve posted on our blog previously, our friends at One Colorado have put together a comprehensive online resource center on civil unions for LGBT couples living in the state.  Yesterday, One Colorado announced the launch of the Spanish-language version so that ALL couples have the information and resources they need to be part of this historic moment. According to U.S. census data, over 11% of Coloradans speak Spanish as their primary language in their homes.
