This weekend, hundreds of HRC volunteer and board members converged on Washington, D.C for the spring board meeting and Equality Convention.

During Saturday's luncheon, attendees enjoyed a break from the daylong workshops and training sessions with a special panel on international LGBT equality, featuring Dane Lewis and Caleb Orozco, LGBT activist from Jamaica and Belize, and moderated by Ahmed Shihab-Eldin.

Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor Uzra Zeya spoke before the panel about international landscape of LGBT rights and the importance of HRC's Global Engagement program.
