International Celebrate Bisexuality Day, or Bi Visibility Day, was founded in 1999 by activists Wendy Curry, Michael Page, and Gigi Raven Wilbur. In doing so, they sought to highlight biphobia and to celebrate individuals within the bisexual community.
International Bisexuality Visibility Day aims to change perceptions about the community and celebrate bisexuality worldwide.
In addition to nationwide events, the White House Office of Public Engagement will host a closed-door roundtable discussion focused on the issues faced by the bisexual community.
