Last week, the Arkansas Times featured HRC State Director Kendra Johnson of HRC Arkansas as one of its 25 visionaries.

The Times' annual list celebrates Arkansans with “ideas of transformative power." Other honorees include Amanda Crumley, executive director of the Southern Progress Fund, Jeff Matika of Green Day and Rosa Velázquez of United We Dream.

Johnson was selected for her work to bring LGBT equality in the South.

"I've really been a lifelong volunteer and a lifelong activist," Johnson said to the Arkansas Times.

As part of Project One America, Johnson is working to change hearts and minds, advancing enduring legal protections and building more inclusive institutions for LGBT people from the church pew to the workplace.
