Today HRC is proud to announce its nomination as a finalist in the 2014 SXSW Interactive Awards for the red marriage equality logo campaign.
HRC will face off against Lowe’s, The Weather Channel, Unbaby.me and Invisigram on March 11 in Austin, Texas for the honor of best use of social media to connect and share experiences.
HRC’s entry, “The Little Red Logo that Transformed the Marriage Equality Narrative,” not only made history as the most viral Facebook campaign, but also launched the debate over the rights of loving, committed same-sex couples into the living rooms of Americans who previously felt untouched by the issue.
The Interactive Awards highlight 15 categories of digital innovation, from activism to art to technical achievement at the 21st annual SXSW Interactive event.
SXSW is a five-day event featuring the cutting-edge in technology and creativity from the brightest minds in emerging digital industries.
