Post submitted by Paul Guequierre, HRC Deputy Communications Director

Last week HRC announced that comprehensive immigration reform, inclusive of LGBT immigrants and their families, was an organizational priority.  Since then we’ve worked with our partners in the LGBT and immigrant communities, participated in the Rally for Citizenship at the U.S. Capitol, and are working with our friends on Capitol Hill to make sure any immigration reform legislation is truly comprehensive.

Yesterday, two op-eds by HRC President Chad Griffin ran in The Hill and the Washington Blade, laying out the important and very personal reasons truly comprehensive immigration reform is needed, and needed now.
