Break out the party hats—today, April 16, is National Healthcare Decisions Day (NHDD)!

Okay, maybe NHDD isn’t the most festive of holidays--particularly coming right after Tax Day. But we can’t stress enough how important it is that you take some time today or soon to look at HRC’s webpage about making your healthcare wishes known.

Everyone—LGBT people, especially—should take a minute to think about whether, if they were in a crisis and unable to indicate their wishes for care, the people on hand would know what to do (and not to do). If there’s any doubt in your mind about this, please be sure to look at our resources page now.

Taking time to document what you would like done and not done in a medical crisis is a tremendous gift to yourself and everyone who cares about you. Please celebrate NHDD with us today!
