Breaking news out of Minnesota, where it is being reported that Senate Majority Leader Tom Bakk just announced that the Safe and Supportive Schools Act will be going to a vote this coming Thursday. The vote in the Senate has been seen as the key hurdle to this essential legislation being signed into law. In the last legislative session the bill was blocked in the senate in the final hours after passing the House.
It is more important than ever to contact your senator now! Use our quick and effective tool to reach out today, and if you are available, join our friends at OutFront Minnesota for their annual Lobby Day tomorrow to meet your legislators in person.
If passed, this bill would take Minnesota from a state with one of the weakest anti-bullying laws to having one of the strongest in the country.
