Wisconsin To Vote On Budget With DP Provisions
June 11, 2009
The Wisconsin Assembly is expected to vote on the state budget today, as our friends at Fair Wisconsin report. The budget, as proposed by Gov. Jim Doyle, includes important basic legal protections for domestic partners, including hospital visitation rights and equal family leave rights. Once the Assembly passes the budget, it will move to the Senate. The key issue will be whether domestic partner provisions remain in the budget. We will keep you posted on developments.
