Wisconsin State Rep. Comes Out as Bisexual

Wisconsin State Rep. JoCasta Zamarripa came out publically yesterday in an interview with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Rep. Zamarripa expressed regret for not having “the valor and courage to come out” during the 2010 primary, but is happy to share this side of herself with the public now.
“It’s part of my life, like being a south sider and the only Hispanic in the Legislature, and I’m happy to share it with my constituents,” she said in an interview with the newspaper.
We applaud Rep. Zamarripa for her honesty and openness as she joins the ranks as only one of three openly LGBT members in the Wisconsin legislature.
